Timely at the 2016 Beauty UK Show
We had a blast representing Timely at the 2016 Beauty UK Show in Birmingham last weekend. Thousands flooded the floors to discover what the best in the industry had to offer.
I love getting the chance to speak to salon owners about their business, learning about their pain points and discussing how software can take almost all of their troubles away. One of the big things I always tell salon owners is that your time, and your staff’s time, is money. So make sure you’re not wasting it!
Sarah is fairly new to our shores having joined the UK Timely team in February. She was blown away by how friendly the UK Hair and Beauty industry is. The world-famous MK joined our stand to showcase his barbering skills whilst discussing his experience using Timely.
Great excuse to shave an impromptu Timely logo in your hair? That’s exactly what Sarah thought…
Hundreds of attendees throughout the day stopped to see the Timely man take shape. We think MK did an awesome job!
=>MK started using Timely around 2 years ago, after meeting us at the Beauty UK Show in 2014. Having MK share his experience with attendees was a huge benefit to business owners.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting old and new customers throughout the show. People popped by to say hello and on many occasions shared their experiences with others interested in using the system. I almost felt like I’d been made redundant at times! But there’s nothing quite like hearing stories straight from the horse’s mouth.
The lovely Janine James became a Timely customer just a few weeks ago and stopped by to share her story with us.
Another customer to pop in was Kevin Boyle from KB Hair Design. Kevin’s been using Timely for around a year now and was kind enough to share his experience with other salon owners.
I was happy to volunteer to be a victim of the world class professional makeup artist Jennifer Lennard. Jennifer and her assistant Rachel went full special effects on me on the Habia/VTCT stage.
One particular moment stands out when manning the Timely stand with my new wounds on show. I was doing a demonstration with a lady who runs a clinic and a bit of (silicon) glass came loose on my neck. Naturally I pulled it away from my neck, only to see the poor lady almost faint! Huge Kudos to Jennifer and Rachel for the level of authenticity.
I was also lucky enough to grab some time with the very skilled David Morgan from Xposure (a salon in Staffordshire). David is a member of the Habia skills team and spent his time at the show on the Habia/VTCT stage demonstrating various hairdressing techniques and chatting to the audience.
David quickly saw the value Timely would have for his business and signed up on the spot. Welcome aboard David!
Our industry friends Liam and Grace from Habia stopped by for a catch-up as well.
The 2016 Beauty UK Show was a huge success. A special thank you to everyone that came along to support us. Until next year!
