Last week we released a bundle of system changes focused on #3 (performance). We’ve been keeping an eye on the numbers and we’re pleased to say that you should see a noticeable difference in how fast Timely runs. Especially for those repetitive tasks like searching for customers.
We ran the numbers: the overall performance improvement is around 20%.
Which translates to hundreds of hours saved per day across all of our users.
In the Timely tech team, performance and reliability is something we obsess about on a daily basis. Here are some of the things we focus on:
Investing in the engine
Timely is a cloud-based app, meaning everything runs on a bunch of really big servers in a data centre. You don’t need to worry about taking backups, or applying software updates (we do this for you).
We apply substantial investment to ensure that those servers are well-resourced, then we constantly tweak the software and databases that sit on those servers to maximise performance.
Performance monitoring
We use some fancy monitoring to keep an eye on the responsiveness of Timely and to alert us if things go pear-shaped. This includes the main web application, as well as all our other services such as email and SMS sending, which we know you rely on.
Fast response
Our team is on-call 24/7 to respond to any problems, whatever hour of the day.
We know how important Timely is for your business, which is why we take performance and reliability very seriously. Our #1 priority is ensuring Timely is fast and error-free. If you are having trouble accessing Timely you can be assured that all sorts of bells & whistles are going off at our end, and that we’ll be rushing around to fix it.
